The Department of Communication Arts offers Advertising and Public Relations training to raise graduates with the necessary professional knowledge required in the global economy and skills to lead the global markets.

The Department of Communication Arts (Advertising and Public Relations), in which students are accepted with a sufficient score of the Undergraduate Placement Examination (TYT-YKS) Exams, ensures professional integration with its academic staff and experts in the sector by providing services to students not only during their University life but also after graduation.


Graduates of the İstanbul Kültür University Department Communication Arts can become communication consultants, communication strategists, public relations specialists, and advertising designers.

Public Relations

Our students, who complete their education in the field of Public Relations which is one of the most popular professions of the 21st century, will be stepping into a safe future. Our students complete their development in a multifaceted way with the theoretical and practical knowledge they acquire throughout their education life with the modern methods and application opportunities in the field of public relations.

In addition to, our students gain experience in organizing public relations campaigns with case studies by acquiring knowledge about events management, sponsorship, brand communication, and reputation management, imagology, promotion, behavioral science. Our students who are raised in this direction and with this purpose can work in the public relations units of well-known public relations agencies of all kinds of large and medium-sized institutions and can also pursue an academic career in universities.

The demand for our graduates from important Public Relations and Communication Consultancy agencies in the sector is increasing and has become a prime example of university-sector cooperation.

 


Advertising

In the Department of Communication Arts, students are raised fully equipped with theoretical and applied courses, workshops and design activities in the field of advertising.

Our students, who have the opportunity to follow the latest innovations of the world in the theoretical and technical field with the applied studies accompanied by well-known names of advertising sector in the fields of advertising design and brand creation in the technologically equipped advertising class of the Faculty of Art and Design, start their career one step ahead.

Our students make İstanbul Kültür University proud with the increasing number of first prizes they receive in the competitions organized by various organizations such as the Advertising Foundation, Advertising Creators Association, IAA (International Advertising Association) and the Ministry of European Union.These competitions, in which students follow the globalizing world as required by the field of communication, specifically advertising and publicity, test their theoretical and practical knowledge by integrating with new trends and lifestyles and producing communication solutions according to the changing needs of local and global consumers, are also a proof of our educational quality. In accordance with these, the main aim of our Department is to educate students who are capable of conducting studies effectively in the dynamic and self-sacrificing environment of the advertising sector. 

The Department of Communication Arts (Advertising and Public Relations), improves the cognitive skills of students with public relations, advertising and management knowledge, semiotics, visual semiotics, communication strategy, brand management, graphic design, marketing communication, quality consultancy, communication consultancy, social psychology, consumer behavior, interpersonal communication and creates work areas by providing technical equipment and both in-house and out-of-office internship opportunities.

In addition, our students can do internships and study abroad for one or two semesters with the Erasmus+ Program. Students who graduate from this Department can provide consultancy services in all reputable and well-known institutions and organizations and work with leaders of the business community.
